SOMEWHERE BETWEEN LIGHT AND DARK.
A virtual group exhibition by PixelAura Gallery.
There’s a moment when the light changes, colours deepen, and the familiar begins to feel different.
BLUE HOUR takes inspiration from this fleeting transition, inviting artists to explore atmosphere, emotion, memory, light, and everything that exists between what we see and what we feel.
This exhibition is an invitation to interpret the idea in your own way. Through colour, texture, movement, imagery, or personal experience, each artist brings a different perspective to the moment between light and darkness.
Your artwork doesn't have to be blue or depict a particular time of day. We're interested in your interpretation and the unique perspective you bring to the exhibition.
THE IDEA
Blue hour is a moment of transition. It is neither fully day nor fully night, but something in between.
For some, it evokes calmness or nostalgia. For others, it might suggest mystery, movement, solitude, or the feeling of standing at the edge of something new.
BLUE HOUR is about the many ways this moment can be experienced, imagined, and expressed through art.
We welcome works that explore the theme directly or interpret it more freely through the artist's own visual language.
WHO CAN APPLY?
BLUE HOUR is open to artists worldwide, working across all artistic mediums and styles.
Whether your work is painting, photography, illustration, sculpture, digital art, mixed media, or another medium, we welcome your interpretation of the theme.
There is no requirement to use blue in your artwork. What matters is the connection your work creates with the idea behind the exhibition.
